HIV is me
HIV is a part of me
Everyday, I learn more about HIV
Everyday, I see HIV
I know HIV, personally
I grew up really fast due to HIV
I cant wait for HIV, because it wont wait for me
I understand HIV and it understands me
I’m in love, in love with myself
HIV knows this, it knows me
HIV is as big as the tallest tree
But
I stand taller then HIV
HIV is smart it has it’s own mind
I walk on my own
I draw my own line
I’m positive that I don’t live with HIV
I am positive...
But...
HIV... It lives with me
This poem was written by a dance4life representative who is HIV positive and she now uses this as an advantage to help raise awareness about HIV & AID's.
